Description

This vegan Orange Chocolate Cardamom cake is the perfect mix of decadent flavor and a moist but light texture! If you're looking to impress, look no further. This cake will bring warm winter flavors strait into your home.

Ingredients

1 ³⁄₄ cup All purpose flour
¹⁄₄ cup Cocoa powder
1 ¹⁄₂ teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Baking soda
¹⁄₂ teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Cardamom powder
¹⁄₃ cup Orange juice
³⁄₄ cups Soy milk (Or any other plant based milk)
³⁄₄ cups Maple syrup
¹⁄₃ cup Sunflower oil
1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
2 tablespoons Orange zest (Not packed)

Instructions

Pre heat oven to 350° and oil two six inch cake pans.
Add all dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl and stir together.
Incorporate wet ingredients in and mix together being careful not to over mix.
Pour the cake batter into your cake pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean from the middle of the cake.
Let sit to cool for 20 minutes then serve!
